Scott McLeod's Address to NEA

http://www.3dwriting.com/mcleod/

I might as well rename my blog the "Disruptive Innovationist." It seems since its inception three years ago this blog has been dominated by this topic. Anyway, Dr. McLeod recently gave a great presentation to the NEA about Disruptive Innovation in Education. It is definitely worth a watch. He uses up-to-date statistics and synthesizes ideas put forth by both Clayton Christensen and Daniel Pink seamlessly.

Essential Questions:

How are you going to be relevant when:
  1. Some teaching functions will be replaced by offshoring and software
  2. Dispersion of teaching functions erode membership base (and thus financial/political power)

21st Century is a decade old - Why are we still talking about giving students 21st Century Schools?
