@anderscj The first 2 years as a baptism by fire deal... It would seem the old campus "lab school" concept would help, but they died. why?
@mnphysicist honestly, Sarason talks about why they died but I still don't quite understand why they can't be resurrected.
@mnphysicist my guess is expense. and public doesn't believe teachers need same mentorship as doctors. @anderscj
@jerridkruse @anderscj I guess there is a parallel, Uncle Sam says we dont have enough docs, but wont fund residency slots
@mnphysicist @jerridkruse amateur is the new professional, right?
@jerridkruse @anderscj It probably ties into elections...lowered total cost due to better teacher retention wont win elections
@mnphysicist @anderscj thats cause it requires removing ones head from a particular orifice. ;)
@anderscj @jerridkruse amateurs given enough time, can often out do many professionals. Prob is collateral damage while learning
@anderscj @jerridkruse society views collateral damage of n00b engineers + MD's too high, thus EIT & residencies... why not 4 teachers?
@mnphysicist @anderscj interesting point.
@erridkruse @anderscj one prob is the term "collateral damage of students" opens a huge can of worms
